Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is handled by the outside provider that supplies the search results. Grandview Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you send a message, the information in that message is used to respond to the request.
Automatically Collected Details
Routine hosting logs can include an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. Those records are reviewed in aggregate to operate the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may also be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Limited visitor data helps operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the service. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Grandview Residents Directory links to Jackson County, Missouri, library, archive, and other outside resources. Those destinations apply their own terms and privacy practices to information submitted there. Sponsored search results are also provided by an outside company, whose privacy practices govern that interaction.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process the routine logs described above on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the same automatic information. Information is disclosed when required by valid legal process and is not otherwise shared beyond the purposes described here.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the time reasonably needed for operation, security, and the purposes stated in this policy. Because the site has no visitor accounts, it does not hold visitor passwords or account profiles.
Children's Privacy
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to ask a website to provide, correct, or delete personal information it holds. Research for Missouri did not identify a comprehensive consumer-privacy statute creating a general public-record deletion right. Missouri public-record privacy is record-specific: Sunshine Law exceptions, vital-record law, court rules, the federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, voter-record limits, and Safe at Home protections can each control access to a particular record.
The Missouri Open Meetings and Records Law, commonly the Missouri Sunshine Law, is RSMo §§610.010-610.030. Its custodian and response rules in §610.023, and its copy and research fee rules in RSMo §610.026, do not open records made confidential by another law. Safe at Home and court-closed voter addresses may protect qualifying Missouri residents. Requests about information held by Grandview, Jackson County, or Missouri custodians belong with the office that holds the record. To ask about limited data held by this service, use the Contact page.
Policy Updates
Changes to this policy will appear on this page. Continued use of the service after a revision means you accept the updated policy.
